Ingredients for Mont Let Saung Burmese Dessert Recipe

  • 100 gram Palm sugar jaggery
  • 150 milliliter Water for syrup
  • 2 tablespoon Coloured tapioca pearls
  • 1 can Coconut milk
  • 100 milliliter Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar

Directions: Mont Let Saung Burmese Dessert Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a pan add 150 ml water and 100 gm palm sugar. Dissolve on medium heat for about 10 minutes and simmer till texture is syrupy. Transfer the syrup to a glass and refrigerate.

  • STEP 2.2 to prepare the jelly bits, soak 2 tbsp coloured tapioca pearls in boiling water. Cook boba pearls in boiling water separately. Then hold the boba pearls under running water. Once done transfer to the refrigerator.

  • STEP 3.3 in a bowl add 100 ml water, 1 can coconut milk, 1 tbsp sugar, few drops vanilla essence. Stir together till sugar disso lves. Refrigerate.

  • STEP 4.4 once all the components have refrigerated for some time and are chilled it is time to assemble the mont le saung.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 in a glass first pour a layer of the palm sugar syrup. Then fill the glass till ¾ full with the coconut milk. Spoon in the gelatinous bits- tapioca pearls.
