How to Make Mont Lak Kauk Kyaw Recipe

STEP 01

In a bowl start adding 1 cup glutinous rice flour, rice flour ¼ cup, baking soda ¼ tsp, salt ¼ tsp, and water ½ cup.

STEP 02

Before adding the water mix all the dry elements well.

STEP 03

Now keep kneading it into a soft dough.

STEP 04

Add some sesame seeds to the dough and sprinkle some dry flour and keep kneading them.

STEP 05

Now take a generous portion from the dough and roll them and from a thick string and then join the ends (like a doughnut).

STEP 06

Wash the jaggery candy with warm water and then boil them in hot water until we get a smooth and thick paste.

STEP 07

Take a kadai to add a good amount of oil, heat the oil.

STEP 08

And then start dropping the doughnuts and fry them evenly from both sides. Make sure you fry the outer part as well.

STEP 09

Take them out in a kitchen napkin to soak the excess oil.

STEP 10

Serve it with the jaggery sauce we just made and enjoy it hot.
