Ingredients for Mongolian Spicy Chicken Recipe

  • 250 gram Chicken breasts cut lengthwise to make to thin layers
  • As required Corn flour for coating chicken
  • 1/2 Oil for frying ltr
  • As required Sesame Seeds For Garnish
  • As required Spring onions chopped for garnish
  • 50 milliliter Water
  • 50 milliliter Soy Sauce
  • 3 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 flakes Chili tsp
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 3 No.s Garlic clove finely chopped
  • 10 gram Ginger finely chopped

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a large mixing bowl combine 50 ml water, 50 ml soy sauce, 3 tbsp brown sugar and mix well. Keep aside.
  • STEP 2.Slice 250 gm chicken breast lengthwise to make two thin layers.
  • STEP 3.Add enough cornflour in a flat plate and place the sliced chicken breasts one at a time, to coat both sides of each slice with the flour.
  • STEP 4.In a wok or pan heat 1 tbsp of oil, add 3 finely chopped cloves of garlic, 10 gm finely chopped ginger and fry for a few seconds till aromatic.
  • STEP 5.Then add the prepared sauce mixture to the wok. Stir well and bring to a boil.
  • STEP 6.Then turn the heat to low and simmer till the liquid has reduced by ⅔ rds.
  • STEP 7.In a wok heat ½ ltr oil. When hot add the chicken slices and fry for 5 minutes on each side till light brown and crispy.
  • STEP 8.Then remove the chicken from the pan and drain off the excess oil. Keep aside.
  • STEP 9.When the sauce has reduced, add 1 tsp chili flakes and turn the heat to medium.
  • STEP 10. At this point add the crispy fried chicken to the sauce and cook for 1 minute on each side to ensure that the chicken is well coated with the sauce.
  • STEP 11.Then remove the chicken slices from the wok and slice them.
  • STEP 12.Arrange on a plate and serve garnished with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
