Mogar ki sabji is a simple Rajasthani curry made with Moong dal / split yellow lentils and dry spices.Mogar Dal is another staple food from Rajasthan like Badi ki Sabzi. These are high in proteins and low in fat content. This particular split yellow dal is very light and easy to digest. Split Yellow Moong dal also generally cooks faster compared with other dals. This curry goes well with Ajwain ki Pudi and Namak Mirch Paratha

Ingredients for Mogar Ki Sabzi Recipe

  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 0.06 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 No.s tomates
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/2 cup soaked moong dal
  • As required Salt
  • As required Water
  • 1/2 cup french beans
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves
  • 2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/4 Lemon

Directions: Mogar Ki Sabzi Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a bowl soak 1 cup moong dal overnight.

step 2

  • STEP 1.In a pan take some oil, cumin seeds, asafoetida, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Roast the spices for 30 seconds.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add tomatoes, ginger, soaked dal,salt and water.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Mix everything well. Cover and cook for 6 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Now add 1 cup french beans. Cover and cook at medium flame for 6 more minutes.

step 7

  • STEP 1.Add coriander leaves and lemon juice. Your mogar ki sabzi is ready
