Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Prepare the banana blossoms by removing the outer layers and chopping them into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.Soak the chopped banana blossoms in water with a little bit of salt and turmeric to remove any bitterness.
  • STEP 3.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds, bay leaves, and dry red chilies. Fry until fragrant.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 5.Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add the soaked banana blossoms and potatoes. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add salt, sugar, and garam masala. Mix well and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  • STEP 8.In a separate pan, heat ghee and fry the coconut slices until golden brown. Add it to the cooked vegetables.
  • STEP 9.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
