There is some leftover rice we all have in our kitchens and we do wonder how to use it or what recipe to make with it. Usually as a habit , I don't throw leftover food and this os also includes rice, at times i do have leftover rice from the previous night that i use uo the next day. I refrigerate and use the rice next day. Do not keep leftover rice for a long time, use it a day or some hours. In fact, there are many delicious recepes you can make with leftover cooked rice, they can be range snacks to sweets or even a main course, in this post, i am sharing this recipe that can be easily made with leftover rice.

Ingredients for Mixed Fried Rice with Leftover Rice #sree Recipe

  • 2 Cups Leftover rice
  • 1/2 Pieces Onion
  • As Required Carrots
  • As Required Beans
  • As Required Capsicum
  • As Required Peas
  • 1/2 Pieces large egg
  • 1 Pieces Clove garlic
  • 1/2 Pieces Knob ginger
  • As Required Peanut

Directions: Mixed Fried Rice With Leftover Rice #sree Recipe

  • STEP 1.Gather the ingredients, take a bowl and soak leftover rice in water
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, tilting the pan to coat completely, then add 1 tsp of finely chopped garlic, an 1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger, cool for only a moment as you don't want to brown or burn the garlic.
  • STEP 3.Add the chopped spring onions and saute for a minute or two on medium low to medium heat, then add vegetables and cook.
  • STEP 4.Continuously toss and stir while frying so that veggies are uniformly cooked and do not get burnt, for about 4 to 6 minutes, you want the vegetables to be hot and fried but still retain some great crunch
  • STEP 5.Add the rice and stir to contribute, cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes
  • STEP 6.Break the one egg into the center and immediately begin stiring them with wooden spoon or silicone spatula until they start to solidity
  • STEP 7.Gradually stir the vegetables back into the middle of the oan , distributing the eggs throughout the vegetables and rice, the eggs should be in small shreds, evenly dispersed throughout the vegetables and rice
  • STEP 8.When the egg are cooked andno running bits remain, drizzle thr mixture with soy sauce to taste.
  • STEP 9.Reduce the heat to medium or medium high, use a spoon or spatula to gently fold cooked rice into the mixed vegetables.
  • STEP 10.Serve hot, sprinkled with garnishes of penuts or sesame seeds, if desired.enjoy!
