#sree I always prefer one pot meal because it takes less time and is tasty. This dish is an all-rounder with ample nutrients and is a perfect blend of flavours. Mixed brown rice tehri is both me and my daughter's favourite dish. Tehri is enjoyed in many different ways. But here are some great additions to pep up our tehri.

Ingredients for Mixed Brown rice tehri Recipe

  • 1/2 Cups Chicken pieces, washed and dried
  • 0.33 cup Brown rice
  • 0.33 cup Chopped spinach
  • 0.17 cup cauliflower florets
  • 0.33 cup Chopped carrots, beans, capsicum
  • 0.17 cup Green peas
  • 0.33 Pieces Medium sized potato (cubes)
  • 0.67 tablespoons Dry fruits (walnut, cashew, raisins)
  • 0.17 cup chopped Apples
  • 0.33 Pieces medium sized onion chopped
  • 0.33 tablespoon Crushed garlic
  • 0.67 Pieces Slit green chillies
  • a few Fresh mint leaves
  • 0.17 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.08 cup Tomato puree
  • 0.17 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 0.33 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.08 teaspoon Dry chilli powder
  • as required Salt
  • 0.33 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Refined sunflower oil
  • 1 cups water

Directions: Mixed Brown Rice Tehri Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a kadai. Add onion and garlic and saute until it becomes brown.
  • STEP 2.Add vegetables. Saute for sometime.
  • STEP 3.Now add all spices one after another. Cook till the oil separates.
  • STEP 4.Add chicken pieces and stir continuously.
  • STEP 5.Add brown rice, salt, mint leaves and dry fruits. Stir.
  • STEP 6.Add water and cover the kadai with a lid.
  • STEP 7.Cook on a medium flame.
  • STEP 8.Sprinkle apples before serving.
  • STEP 9.Serve hot with yogurt chaas.
