Missi Roti Recipe

Missi roti is a rajasthani flat bread made with chickpea flour, green chillies and various masalas. Apply some ghee on top of it and serve hot with a curry.

Ingredients for Missi Roti Recipe

  • 2 tablespoon Gram flour
  • 2 No.s Green chillies
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garam Masala
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida
  • 1 teaspoon Dried fenugreek powder
  • 1/2 Tsp jeera roasted and ground coarse
  • 1 Tbsp butter / Oil
  • As required Chilled water

Directions: Missi Roti Recipe

  • STEP 1.Take 2 cups of gramflour in a bowl,  add 2 green chillies,  some corriander leaves,  red chilli powder,  garam masala, salt,  turmeric powder,  asafoetida as taste,   a spoon of kasuri methi,  cumin seeds and oil. Mix them nicely. Now keep adding water and prepare a dough.
  • STEP 1.Take small portions and make spheres.
  • STEP 1. Dust the rolling plate with some dried flour.
  • STEP 2.Now roll the balls in desired sizes. Adjust the thickness as per your preference.
  • STEP 1. Now heat a pan and cook the roti on it. Apply ghee as needed. Press using kitchen towels and cook on both sides.
  • STEP 1. Rajasthani missi roti is ready.
