A japanese recipe of tofu with miso sauce. Miso Dengaku is cooked vegetables and Tofu (usually baked or boiled) and topped with a sweet and salty Miso sauce. Miso Dengaku can be a dish for dinner, but also a great appetizer for drinks. Even though there are a lot of ingredients that are great for Dengaku such as eggplant, Daikon radish, and yam, Konnyaku is also an interesting choice. Konnyaku is a gelatinous food made from Konnyaku potatoes. It is stiff and jelly like with a chewy, springy texture.

  • 2 tablespoon Miso
  • 2 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Sake
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • As required sesame seeds

Directions: Miso Dengaku With Konnyaku Recipe

  • STEP 1.Digonally cut konnyaku into pieces.
  • STEP 2.Mix miso, sugar, mirin, sake and water in a pot and heat it.
  • STEP 3.Cook until it gets thick.
  • STEP 4.Serve konnyaku in a plate and top with miso sauce and garnish with sesame seeds.
