Ingredients for Misal Recipe
2 cup
Sprout Moth beans (Mataki)
4 tbsp
Desiccated coconut
1 pieces
Big potato
1 pieces
Big onion
6 As Required For Ganishing
Curry leaves
as required
Coriander leaves
1 tsp
tempering Asafoetida
1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp
Cumin
3 tsp
Oil
as required
Farsana
2 Pieces
Lemon
1 tsp
Sugar
to taste
Salt
4 tsp
Chilli powder
as required
Bread slices
2 tsp
Garam masala
Directions: Misal Recipe
STEP 1.
In a pan heat oil and add asafoetida, Cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves.
STEP 2.
After that add chopped onion and chopped potatoes (make very thin slices). Fry it well till onion become brown.
STEP 3.
Now add sprout moth beans, Desiccated coconut and fry for 2-3 minutes. Now add sugar, salt, chilli powder.
STEP 4.
Add water and let them boil for around 10 minutes.
STEP 5.
Add garam masala and boil for 2-3 minutes more. Off the flame. Add coriander leaves.
STEP 6.
Hot & Spicy Misal is ready.
STEP 7.
Serve with lemon, Farsana, chopped onion, coriander leaves & bread.
