Ingredients for Misal Recipe

  • 2 cup Sprout Moth beans (Mataki)
  • 4 tbsp Desiccated coconut
  • 1 pieces Big potato
  • 1 pieces Big onion
  • 6 As Required For Ganishing Curry leaves
  • as required Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp tempering Asafoetida
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 3 tsp Oil
  • as required Farsana
  • 2 Pieces Lemon
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • 4 tsp Chilli powder
  • as required Bread slices
  • 2 tsp Garam masala

Directions: Misal Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a pan heat oil and add asafoetida, Cumin, mustard seeds, curry leaves.
  • STEP 2.After that add chopped onion and chopped potatoes (make very thin slices). Fry it well till onion become brown.
  • STEP 3.Now add sprout moth beans, Desiccated coconut and fry for 2-3 minutes. Now add sugar, salt, chilli powder.
  • STEP 4.Add water and let them boil for around 10 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Add garam masala and boil for 2-3 minutes more. Off the flame. Add coriander leaves.
  • STEP 6.Hot & Spicy Misal is ready.
  • STEP 7.Serve with lemon, Farsana, chopped onion, coriander leaves & bread.
