  • 1/4 cup Urad Dal
  • 1/4 Onion, Finely Chopped
  • 0.63 En Chilies, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 inch Ginger, Grated
  • as per your need A Handful Of Curry Leaves, Finely Chopped

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak urad dal in water for 4-5 hours and drain the water.
  • STEP 2.Grind the soaked dal into a smooth batter, adding a little water if needed.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, curry leaves, and salt to the batter and mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.
  • STEP 5.Take small portions of the batter and shape them into small vadas.
  • STEP 6.Carefully drop the vadas into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 7.Remove the vadas from the oil and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  • STEP 8.Serve the mini medhu vadas hot with coconut chutney or sambar.

  • Make sure the urad dal is soaked well to ensure a soft and fluffy texture.
  • Add a pinch of baking soda to the batter for extra fluffiness.
