Ingredients for Milagu Jeera Sadam Recipe

  • As required Ingredients to grind
  • 1 tablespoon Peppercorns
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 3/4 cup Curry leaf
  • As required Ingredients for sadam
  • 2 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Split white urad dal
  • 1/4 cup Raw peanuts
  • 2 cup Cooked Rice
  • As required Salt

Directions: Milagu Jeera Sadam Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a hot roasting pan add 1 tbsp whole black peppercorns, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, and dry roast till aromas come through. Allow to cool.

  • STEP 1.Transfer the roasted peppercorns and cumin seeds to the small mixer grinder jar, add ¾ cup curry leaves and grind to a coarse powder.

  • STEP 1.Preheat a pan and add1 tbsp sesame (gingelly) oil, add 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp split white urad dal. Stir and allow seeds to crackle and the dal to turn golden and crisp.

  • STEP 1.Add ¼ cup raw peanuts and roast on medium heat till peanuts are crisp.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Then add the ground mixture and 2 cups of cooked rice. Stir to combine the rice with all the ingredients well. Add salt to taste.

  • STEP 1.Lastly, drizzle 1 tbsp sesame oil and mix well to combine. Turn off the heat.
