#rice This Mexican rice is cooked with onion , garlic , and tomato sauce for an easy side dish. Add green bell pepper, red bell pepper, kidney beans, fresh tomato to the rice before simmering for extra flavor and color, according to your family's taste. Use vegetable stock in place of water for even more savory flavor.

Ingredients for Mexican rice Recipe

  • 3/4 Tablespoon Edible Refined Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Long grain rice
  • 1/4 Teaspoon finely sliced garlic cloves
  • 0.06 Tsp Cumin seeds (Jeera
  • 1/4 Pieces Red onion sliced
  • 0.06 Cup Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Cups vegetable stock
  • 1/4 Cup boiled kidney beans
  • 1/4 Cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/4 Tbsp chilli flakes
  • 1/4 Tsp oregano
  • 0.06 Cup corn
  • 0.06 Cup green peas
  • 1/2 Tbsp Spring onion

Directions: Mexican Rice Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and add cumin seed chopped garlic and onion.
  • STEP 2.Stir in onions and cook until tender. Stir in tomato sauce and rice also add vegetable stock and spices .add bell peppers, peas and corn bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
  • STEP 3.Fluff with a fork.garnish with spring onion
