Because the colours of the red tomato, white onion, and green chili and cilantro are reminiscent of the colours of the Mexican flag, it is also called salsa bandera or flag sauce.

  • 6 cup Water
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 1/4 Onion
  • 1 jalapeno
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 handful of cilantro

Directions: Mexican Red Salsa Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a pot add tomatoes, jalapeno and garlic.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Add 6 cups of water and boil for 5 mins.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Discard the water.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Grind all the ingredients.

  • STEP 1.Add salt and cilantro. Serve with nachos.
