  • 0.17 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 0.17 teaspoon Red Chili Powder

  • 0.17 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

  • 0.08 cup Yogurt

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, fenugreek leaves, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and oil.
  • STEP 2.Add yogurt and mix well to form a soft dough. If needed, add water in small quantities to adjust the consistency.
  • STEP 3.Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into thin circles using a rolling pin.
  • STEP 4.Heat a tawa or griddle and cook the theplas on both sides until golden brown spots appear.
  • STEP 5.Serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or chutney.

Cooking Tips

  • You can add grated ginger and garlic for extra flavor.
  • To make the theplas softer, you can add a little bit of oil while rolling them.
  • If you don't have fenugreek leaves, you can use spinach or other greens as a substitute.
