A himachali recipe of gram flour balls in a sugar syrup with lots of dry fruits This sweet dish is known as double ka meetha as bread is used to make it. Bread or pav is also called as Double roti in a few Indian states. Hence the name ‘double ka meetha’ which means a sweet dish made from bread. Basically its a sweet pudding made from bread.

Ingredients for Meetha Recipe
- 1 cup Gram Flour
- 2 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup Raisins
- 1/2 cup Almonds
- 1/2 cup Cashews
- 6-8 Pistachios
- 1 pinch Food Colours – each
- 1/2 cup Grated Coconut
- 3 Small Cardamom
- 3 Cloves
- As required Oil – for frying
- 4 tablespoon Melon Seeds
- 2 tablespoon Clarified Butter

How to Make Meetha Recipe
STEP 01
Make a mixture of the gram flour with water,
STEP 02
Divide into 3 bow equally
STEP 03
In 1 bowl add red orange food colour, in another one add apple green colour,and lemon yellow in the last one, mix well
STEP 04
Heat oil and add the coloured gram flour paste using jhajharia making into small balls one at a time
STEP 05
Fry them one by one and mix in a bowl \
STEP 06
In a frying pan caramelise 2 cup sugar into sugar syrup
STEP 07
In a frying pan add ghee and fry cashew nuts,raisins, pistachios and chopped almonds
STEP 08
Add the coloured gram flour balls into the sugar syrup
STEP 09
Then add the fried dry fruits in it
STEP 10
Serve with rice
