Pumpkin cooked in Kerala style

into a pan heat 1½ tsp cooking oil. Splutter ¼ tsp mustard seeds and add in 2 dry red chilly , 1 sprig of curry leaves and sliced 7 shallots.
saute till shallots turn tender.
then add into the pan sliced pumpkin, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.
saute for 2-3 minutes until the pumpkins are fully coated in turmeric.
cook covered with a lid on low flame for 6-7 minutes.
finally add 1 tsp chili powder and stir fry the pumpkins for 2-3 minutes.
turn off the flame and serve it on a plate.
