Ingredients for Mathanga Mezhukupuratti Recipe

  • 250 gram Peeled and thinly sliced pumpkin
  • 7 No.s Sliced shallots
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 2 No.s Dry red chilly
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chilly powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1.50 teaspoon Coconut oil

Directions: Mathanga Mezhukupuratti Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.into a pan heat 1½ tsp cooking oil. Splutter ¼ tsp mustard seeds and add in 2 dry red chilly , 1 sprig of curry leaves and sliced 7 shallots.

step 2

  • STEP 1.saute till shallots turn tender.

step 3

  • STEP 1.then add into the pan sliced pumpkin, ¼ tsp turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.

step 4

  • STEP 1.saute for 2-3 minutes until the pumpkins are fully coated in turmeric.

step 5

  • STEP 1.cook covered with a lid on low flame for 6-7 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 1.finally add 1 tsp chili powder and stir fry the pumpkins for 2-3 minutes.

step 7

  • STEP 1.turn off the flame and serve it on a plate.
