Ingredients for Matar paneer Recipe

  • 75 gram Paneer
  • 0.38 cup matar fresh
  • 1 nos onions chopped
  • 1/2 nos Tomato chopped
  • 0-1/2 nos teasp ginger garlic paste/grated
  • 0-1/2 nos Black peppercorns
  • 0-1/2 nos Cloves
  • 1/4 nos bay leaf
  • 1/2 nos Black cardamom optional
  • 0-1/2 nos Cashewnuts
  • 1/2 piece smallcinnamon
  • 1/2 nos teasp coriander powder
  • As required As needed oil
  • 1/4 nos teasp cumin seeds
  • 0.38 nos Teasp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 nos teasp turmeric powder
  • As required salt to taste
  • As required As needed oil

Directions: Matar Paneer Recipe

  • STEP 1.First heat 1-2 teasp oil in a pan. Shallow fry chopped onion till it becomes slightly translucent. Add chopped tomato and soaked cashewnuts(optional). In a blender, make a smooth paste.
  • STEP 2.Cut paneer into cubes. Shallow fry in a little oil or soak them in warm water with matar(if frozen) so that it becomes soft.
  • STEP 3.Hear 3-4 teasp oil in a pan. Add bay leaf, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, and cumin seeds. As it crackles add ginger garlic paste, saute, add onion tomato cashenuts paste. Saute till oil separates.
  • STEP 4.Add all the powdered spices and salt. Add paneer cubes and matar. Add water as needed. Cover and cook for a few minutes till it becomes thick. Add crushed kasuri methi/fresh cream(optional).
  • STEP 5.It's ready. Serve with naan roti, paratha, rice.
