Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to soak the dal for a few hours to soften it and make it easier to grind.
  • Do not grind the dal into a fine paste, as the coarse texture adds to the crunchiness of the pakoras.
  • Adjust the spice levels according to your preference by adding more or less green chilies.
  • Fry the pakoras in small batches to ensure even cooking and crispy texture.
  • Serve the pakoras immediately after frying for the best taste and texture.

Storage and Serving

  • Masoor dal pakoras are best served hot and fresh.
  • If you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • To reheat, place the pakoras in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for a few minutes until heated through.
  • Serve the reheated pakoras with mint chutney or ketchup.
