Ingredients for Masala Kadalai (Masala Peanuts) Recipe

  • 50 grams raw peanut
  • 0.17 Cups gram flour
  • 0.67 tbsp Rice flour
  • 0.67 tbsp red chilly powder
  • 0.17 tsp pepper powder
  • 1 g arlic cloves
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • sprig Curry leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 0.33 cup Oil

Directions: Masala Kadalai (masala Peanuts) Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat a pan and dry roast the raw peanuts for 3-5 mins. Remove and keep aside to let it cool down.
  • STEP 2.In a mixing bowl add the roasted peanuts, crushed garlic cloves, red chilly powder, pepper powder, salt, asafoetida, gram flour, rice flour and mix them well together.
  • STEP 3.Add water little at a time and mix them well together until the peanuts are coated well with the masala. While adding water please be careful, the mixture should not be watery.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
  • STEP 5.Drop the masala coated peanuts in the hot oil and fry them on medium heat till golden and crisp.
  • STEP 6.In the same oil fry the curry leaves till crisp.
  • STEP 7.Lightly crush the fried curry leaves and add to the fried masala peanuts, mix well and serve or store in an air tight container.
