Directions: Masala Crab Curry Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Clean and wash the crabs thoroughly. Remove the top shell and break the crabs into halves.
  • STEP 2.Marinate the crabs with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
  • STEP 3.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Saute until the seeds crackle.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown. Then, add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  • STEP 6.Add the marinated crabs to the pan and mix them with the masala. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Add water and salt as per taste. Cover the pan and let the crabs cook for about 15-20 minutes or until they are fully cooked.
  • STEP 8.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
