In a mixer grinder add 1 small piece ginger, 5 shallots, 3 garlics, 1 tbsp crushed dry red chilly, 2 cardamoms, 1 cinnamon stick , ½ tsp fennel seeds and 2 tbsp grated coconut.
Grind the ingredients and keep aside the paste. Into a bowl break 1 egg and whisk it.
Add 1 tsp sugar, ¼ butter, ½ tsp vanilla essence, 1 tsp sesame seeds, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp baking soda and ¼ tsp baking powder. Whisk the ingredients and combine together.
Now transfer the ground paste and 1 cup all purpose flour. Mix well. Knead to form a dough.
Take balls from the dough and form a round cookie shape with hands. Place the shaped doughs in a baking tray laid with butter paper.
Crack an egg into a small bowl. Use to coat the dough. Preheat the oven at 170 degree celsius for 10 minutes.
Bake cookies at 170 degree celsius for 30 minutes. Serve masala biscuits in a serving dish.
