Ingredients for Masala bhindi Recipe

  • 80 grams okra/bhindi cut into two prices
  • 0.40 tablespoons Vegetable oil divided
  • 0.40 g Large red onion cubed
  • 0.30 teaspoons Chopped ginger
  • 0.40 Pieces Dried red chili broken
  • 1/10 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/10 teaspoon Fennel seeds
  • 1/20 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/10 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1/20 teaspoon Amchur also known as dried mango powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/10 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1/5 g small pack of Maggie magic massala
  • 0.40 Pieces Cloves
  • 0.40 g reen Cardamom
  • 1/5 Pieces Cinnamon stick
  • 0.40 Pieces Black cardamom

Directions: Masala Bhindi Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan on medium heat.
  • STEP 2.Once oil is hot, add the chopped bhindi.
  • STEP 3.Saute at medium heat for 10 mins, then lower the heat to low and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove bhindi from pan and set aside.
  • STEP 4.Heat 1 tablespoon oil in the same pan. Add cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon stick, black cardamom and peppercorns. Saute the whole spices till fragrant.
  • STEP 5.Then add cumin seeds and fennel seeds and let them sizzle.
  • STEP 6.Add chopped ginger and broken dried red chili.
  • STEP 7.Saute till ginger starts turning golden in color.
  • STEP 8.Also add turmeric powder and salt.
  • STEP 9.Add the cooked bhindi and mix.
  • STEP 10.Add garam masala, amchur and stir to combine.
  • STEP 11.Lower the flame to low cook the sabzi on low heat for 4-5 minutes.
  • STEP 12.Add Meggie magic massala , lemon juice (optional) and mix. Serve masala bhindi with roti or any bread of choice.
