Ingredients for Marwadi Kadhi Recipe

  • 0.06 cup Gram Flour
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt/ Curd
  • 0.13 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Desi Ghee
  • 0.13 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1.25 No.s Black pepper
  • 1.25-1.50 No.s Cloves
  • 0.13 teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • 1/4 inch Cinnamon
  • 1 No.s Cardamom
  • 3/4 No.s Bay leaves
  • 3/4 No.s chopped Green Chillies
  • 2.50-3.75 No.s Curry leaves
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 1/2 No.s Dried Red Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried Mint leaves
  • As required A fewChopped Coriander leaves

Directions: Marwadi Kadhi Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Take a bowl and sieve the gram flour properly into it.

step 2

  • STEP 2.Add one cup of curd to the gram flour and put turmeric, red chilli powder and salt to it.

step 3

  • STEP 3.Mix it well using a whisk and make sure that no lumps are formed.

step 4

  • STEP 4.Add one litre of water to this mixture, make sure that you add the water in batches and not all at once in order to mix it evenly.

  • STEP 5.For tadka take a pan and add 2 tsp of ghee to it and reduce the flame to medium.

step 6

  • STEP 6.Add hing and mustard seeds to the pan.

  • STEP 7.When the mustard seeds start popping add cumin seeds, black pepper, cloves, fenugreek seeds, cinnamon stick, cardamom and bay leaves.

  • STEP 8.When cumin seeds get cooked add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and ginger.

step 9

  • STEP 9.Add the gram flour and curd mixture into the pan and stir it well so that no lumps are formed and let it cook for 30 minutes.

  • STEP 10.Take the pan off the flame.

step 11

  • STEP 11.On a separate pan take 2 tsp of ghee and put some jeera, red chilli powder and dry red chilly into hot ghee.

step 12

  • STEP 12.Turn the flame off and pour this tadka on top of the prepared kadhi.

step 13

  • STEP 1.Finally add some crushed mint leaves and garnish it with coriander leaves. Your marwadi kadhi is ready to serve.
