Quick and easy dal dhokla is a Marwadi recipe which is commonly prepared in Rajasthan. The recipe comprises of a papad khar which is a deep fried and is served with a very unique dal. This combination is a very heart healing and stomach pleasing one.

Ingredients for Marwadi Dal Dhokla Recipe

  • 1 cup Wheat flour
  • 200 gram Papad khar
  • As required Salt
  • 3 No.s Green chilles
  • 1 teaspoon Red chillies powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
  • 50 gram Chickpeas lentils
  • As required Edible oil for cooking
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 1 No.s chopped Spring onion
  • As required Coriander leaves A few
  • 1 tablespoon Baking soda

Directions: Marwadi Dal Dhokla Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Take one cup of wheat. Add some papad khar,  add some salt, green chillies, red chilli powder,  some coriander seeds.

  • STEP 2.Soak some chickpeas for some hours. Wash it off and add it to the mixture. Add 2 spoons of edible oil. Kneed the mixture carefully. Add some ginger, some green chillies, some spring onion, some coriander leaves and some baking soda. Mix nicely.

  • STEP 3.Add water if needed. Prepare a consistent dough.

  • STEP 4.Now use your hands to make some small shaped dhokla

step 5

  • STEP 5.S.  prepare plenty.

step 6

  • STEP 6.Take a pan, place a heating stand and a strain. Add 2 cups of water, start boiling the water.

step 7

  • STEP 7.Now steam the dhokla

step 8

  • STEP 8.S on it.  keep the lid up. And steam for 20 minutes.

step 9

  • STEP 9.Take the dhokla out and serve with some ghee, coriander leaves and serve with some homemade dal.
