There are at least a dozen different recipes for this classic cocktail, but we think the 2-1-1-. 25 ratio is ideal. The extra bit of agave or simple syrup isnt traditional, but we find it helps when limes are out-of-season and not as sweet, or when youre serving drinkers with a sweeter palate. Feel free to omit it.
