A very quick and easy recipe prepared from mangodi(dal badi).Mangodi ki Sabzi- Rajasthani cuisine is famous for its spicy and rich food. Due to the hot climate fresh vegetables was not easily available in Rajasthan during hot summer months so mangodi and sun dried vegetables are preferred to make curries.

Ingredients for Mangodi Ki Sabzi Recipe

  • 1/2 cup Mangodi/Dal Badi
  • 1 Big spoon ghee
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Green chilli
  • As required Some coriander leaves
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 pinch Asafoetida powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon Garam Masala

Directions: Mangodi Ki Sabzi Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Add ¼ tbsp ghee in a pan

step 2

  • STEP 2.Roast mangodi in ghee.

step 3

  • STEP 3.Now partially crush mangodi with the help of crusher.

step 6

  • STEP 4.1.add ghee in a pan & heat it.

step 7

  • STEP 5.2.add asafoetida powder & cumin seeds.

step 8

  • STEP 6.3.now add tomato,ginger & green chillies.

step 9

  • STEP 7.4.saute for 2 mins.

step 10

  • STEP 8.5.then add coriander powder,red chilli powder,salt & garam masala.

step 11

  • STEP 9.6.mix well & saute it.

step 12

  • STEP 10.7.add one glass of water and cook it until it boils.

step 13

  • STEP 1..then add mangodi and cook it at low flame. cook it well & then sprinkle some coriander leaves.
