Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak moong beans overnight and sprout them by keeping them in a moist cloth for a day.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add the sprouted moong beans and cook for 5 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add coconut milk and water. Cover and cook until the moong beans are tender.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
