Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
  • STEP 4.Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned.
  • STEP 5.Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Add coconut milk, tamarind pulp, and water. Simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
  • STEP 7.In a separate pan, heat oil and fry the rice wafers until crispy.
  • STEP 8.Serve the chicken curry with the crispy rice wafers (rotti).

Cooking Tips

  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less chili powder.
  • Soak the rice wafers in water for a few minutes to soften them before serving.
