  • 125 gram Mutton, Cut Into Pieces
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Malvani Masala
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1/4 tablespoon Tamarind Pulp
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • as needed Fresh Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the mutton pieces with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add chopped onions. Saute until golden brown.
  • STEP 3.Add the marinated mutton pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  • STEP 4.Add the Malvani masala, coconut milk, tamarind pulp, and water. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Close the pressure cooker and cook for about 4-5 whistles or until the mutton is tender.
  • STEP 6.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and simmer the curry for a few minutes to thicken the gravy.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.

Cooking Tips

  • You can adjust the spice level according to your preference by adding more or less red chili powder.
  • For a richer flavor, you can roast and grind the spices for the Malvani masala at home.
  • If you don't have a pressure cooker, you can cook the mutton in a regular pot, but it will take longer.
