A Punjabi dish made with Paneer which is popular because of its rich and thick gravy made out of fresh cream, yogurt and almonds. It is a rick creamy and delicious gravy that is made without any tomatoes. As the name suggests it is made with paneer, cream, ghee and alot of spices. This is a unique, flavourful, and delicious recipe of malai korma which can be cooked very easily.

Ingredients for Malai Paneer Korma Recipe

  • As required For Onion Paste
  • 2 No.s medium onions
  • 1.25 cup Water
  • As required For Gravy
  • 200 gram Paneer
  • 1/2 teaspoon shahi jeera
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2-3 No.s green cardamoms
  • 4 No.s Cloves
  • 2-3 strands mace
  • 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 No.s green chili
  • 6 tablespoon full fat fresh curd
  • 3 tablespoon low fat cream
  • 1 teaspoon rose water or 1 kewra water
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 3 pinch Powdered saffron
  • As required Salt

Directions: Malai Paneer Korma Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 soak some almonds in boiling hot water for 40 minutes.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 blend the almonds into a smooth paste.

step 3

  • STEP 3.1 heat a pan and add chopped onions and water to it.

step 4

  • STEP 4.2 cook and stir it till onions become soft.

step 5

  • STEP 5.3 grind these cooked onions in the blender.

step 6

  • STEP 6.4 heat some ghee in a pan and add whole spices to it.

step 7

  • STEP 7.5 cook them for a few seconds and add onion paste and ginger garlic paste.

step 8

  • STEP 8.6 saute it till the oil starts getting separated and add almond paste.

step 9

  • STEP 9.7 stir it continuously and cook at low flame for two minutes.

step 10

  • STEP 10.8 add slit green chilies, tsp black pepper and coriander powder.

step 11

  • STEP 11.9 saute it for a minute and gradually add beaten curd while stirring it continuesly to avoid the formation of lumps.

step 12

  • STEP 12.10 let the gravy simmer for 4-5 minutes on low heat and add the paneer cubes to it.

  • STEP 13.11 finally add low fat cream, kewra water and give it a nice stir.
