Ingredients for Malai Chaap Recipe

  • 2 Pieces Soya chaap
  • 1/4 cup yoghurt (curd)
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Black pepper
  • as required Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1.25 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • as required water
  • 1/4 g Large chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon Lemon juice

Directions: Malai Chaap Recipe

  • STEP 1.Step 1 / 5 Prepare The Marinade
  • STEP 2.Soak the chaaps in water for 20-25 minutes. In a bowl add curd, cream, coriander powder, garlic and ginger paste, garam masala, pepper, 1 tablespoon oil, lemon juice and salt. Mix the ingredients well.
  • STEP 3.Step 2 / 5 Place The Marinated Chaaps In Refrigerator
  • STEP 4.Take out the chaaps from water, squeeze out excess water and add them to the bowl. Coat them well with the marinade. Cover the bowl and keep it in the refrigerator for about an hour.
  • STEP 5.Step 3 / 5 Pan Fry The Chaap
  • STEP 6.In a pan, heat 3-4 tbsp oil and transfer just the marinated chaaps to it and not the entire mixture. Pan-fry the chaaps until golden in colour. Remove from flame and cut the chaap into pieces.
  • STEP 7.Step 4 / 5 Saute The Chaaps
  • STEP 8.Now add 1 tbsp oil to a pan, saute the onions for a few minutes. The onions should not become soft. Add the pan-fried pieces of chaaps and the leftover marinade in the pan.
  • STEP 9.Step 5 / 5 Serve
  • STEP 10.Mix all the ingredients well. Cover the pan with a lid and let the chaaps cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame and add salt as per taste. Remove from heat, mix well and transfer the chaaps to a bowl. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
