Makki ki Dhokli is a Rajasthani Dish made with corn flour and spices. It is also call Rajasthani doughnut and is a variety of dhokla. It is a very nice and healthy snack as it contains a very little to no amount of oil in it. It is a soft and savoury slowly steamed cake traditionally made in every rajasthani household, especially in winters. This dish is a good source of antioxidants and can be good for your diet.

Ingredients for Makki Ka Dhokla Recipe

  • 200 gram corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 cup Fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • As required Water

Directions: Makki Ka Dhokla Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a bowl mix all the ingredients and make a dough by using some water.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 let the dough sit for 20 minutes.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 make balls out of the dough and make a hole in the centre.

step 4

  • STEP 4.1 boil waiter in a steamer.

step 5

  • STEP 5.2 place the dough balls on the idli maker and cook it for 20 minutes.

step 6

  • STEP 6.3 take the dhoklas out and garnish with chopped onions and coriander
