STEP 1.First, wash chickpea dal and groundnuts with clean water and soak them in warm water for 3 hours. Wash the spinach with clean water and chop it finely.
STEP 2.After that, add soaked peanuts, chickpea dal, and chopped spinach. and water to the cooker and boil for 3 whistles.
STEP 3.Now heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds in it, add chopped green chilies, chopped garlic, ginger paste, and asafoetida, and stir.
STEP 4.Now add the boiled spinach bhaji mixture to it. After that, add gram flour to buttermilk and mix well and add this mixture to the spinach mixture.
STEP 5.Now add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and sugar to this and mix well and cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
STEP 6.Now our Delicious Maharashtrian Patal Bhaji is ready to serve. This bhaji curry can be served with rice, roti or paratha. I have served this bhaji with paratha here.
