Mahalabia, also known as Muhallebi, Muhalabia, Mahalebi, Mohallabiah, or Muhallabiyeh is a traditional Middle Eastern pudding made with milk, rice flour, sugar, and flavored with rose or orange blossom water. Muhallebi is a milk pudding that has legendary origins dating to Sassanid Persia. The basic ingredients are rice, sugar, rice flour and milk. The dessert is popular in Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries.
