Maggi Noodle Momos Recipe

A fusion of traditional Tibetan/Nepalese recipe with maggi noodles with its taste maker. Momos are one of the popular fast food recipe of north eastern part of india and also Nepal and Tibet. Basically a steamed bun or dumpling recipe with veg noodles stuffing / maggi stuffing. It can be served as a snack with masala chai or as starters before main course. It is ideally served with hot chili sauce.

Ingredients for Maggi Noodle Momos Recipe

  • 1 cup maida / all purpose flour
  • As required Salt
  • 4 teaspoon Oil
  • 1/2 liter water for kneadind dough
  • 1 tablespoon maida for dusting
  • 2 No.s cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 No.s medium sized onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup carrot, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup cabbage, shreadded
  • 1.50 cup Water
  • 1 No.s maggi masala
  • 1 No.s maggi noodles
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce / soya sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce

Directions: Maggi Noodle Momos Recipe

For Momo Dough

  • STEP 1.Take a large mixing bowl, and add 1 cup of maida, salt and oil.
  • STEP 2.Add water in small quantities and knead a soft dough.
  • STEP 3.Cover and rest for 1 hour.

Maggi Momo Stuffing

  • STEP 1.In a large pot, heat oil and saute garlic, chopped onions, carrots and cabbage.
  • STEP 2.Add water in pot and get it to boil.
  • STEP 3.Then add maggi masala and noodles.
  • STEP 4.Mix everything well and cook till the water is absorbed completely.
  • STEP 5.Now add vinegar, soy sauce and chili sauce.

Momos Preperation

  • STEP 1.Take a small ball of dough and roll it then place the prepared stuffing in the center.
  • STEP 2.Fold it in any momos shape and press the edges gently.
  • STEP 3.Steam the folded momos for 12 minutes.
  • STEP 4.Serve hot on a plate along with mayonnaise or momos sauce.
