  • 125 gram Rohu Fish
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • As required Salt To Taste

  • 1/2 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Coriander Powder

Directions: Macha Tarkari (odia Style Rohu Fish Curry) Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • STEP 3.In the same pan, add chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • STEP 5.Add water and bring the curry to a boil. Add the fried fish and simmer for a few minutes.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
