Ingredients for Lotus Stem Curry Recipe

  • 3-4 Lotus Stem
  • 2 Potato
  • 3-4 Onion
  • 3 Tomato
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 1/2 inch Ginger
  • 7-8 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1.50 Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1 Big oil spoon

  • STEP 1.Wash and peel lotus stem

  • STEP 2.Wash and peel potato

  • STEP 3.Cut lotus stem and potatoes in big pieces

  • STEP 4.Grind tomato,green chilli,garlic cloves and ginger into paste.

  • STEP 5.1.add oil in a pressure cooker and heat it.

step 8

  • STEP 6.2.now add chopped onions and saute it at high flame.

  • STEP 7.3now add cut lotus stem,add some salt and some water.

step 10

  • STEP 8.4.cover it and cook it for 2 whistles.

  • STEP 9.5.now add tomato paste,some salt and cook for 2-3 mins.

  • STEP 10.6.then add all the spices and cook it until oil separates or starts floating.

step 13

  • STEP 11.7.add some water as per gravy and cut potatoes and mix well.

step 14

  • STEP 12.8.cover the pressure cooker and cook it for 5-7 mins on low flame.

  • STEP 13.9.garnish with coriander leaves.
