Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, mix together sattu, chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, garlic, coriander leaves, mustard oil, lemon juice, and spices.
  • STEP 2.Knead the dough using wheat flour, salt, and water. Divide the dough into small balls.
  • STEP 3.Stuff each ball with the sattu mixture and shape them into round balls.
  • STEP 4.Roast the stuffed balls on a tawa or in an oven until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 5.For the chokha, roast the eggplant, tomatoes, and onions on an open flame until they are charred.
  • STEP 6.Peel the skin off the roasted vegetables and mash them together with salt, mustard oil, and spices.
  • STEP 7.Serve the hot litti with chokha and enjoy the smoky and spicy flavors.

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to roast the vegetables for the chokha until they are completely charred to get the smoky flavor.
