Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
  • STEP 2.In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, limoncello liqueur, and lemon zest. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  • STEP 3.In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  • STEP 4.Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled syrup, making sure to coat both sides. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.
  • STEP 5.Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of mascarpone mixture.
  • STEP 6.Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • STEP 7.Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with powdered sugar and grated lemon zest. Cut into slices and serve chilled.
