Tasty leafy lettuce stir-fry. You can try this wonderful Kerala style Lettuce and Coconut Stir Fry. Serve it with Rice or spread it on a tortilla while you make a wrap. It’s hard to find Lettuce in India but do try this recipe if you get a chance.

Ingredients for Lettuce Thoran Recipe

  • 1 cup Chopped Lettuce
  • 2 teaspoon Grated coconut
  • 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 No.s Chopped Onion
  • 2 tablespoon Oil

Directions: Lettuce Thoran Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Firstly, heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add ¼ tsp of mustard seeds and wait for it to splutter.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Then add ½ chopped onion and saute till it becomes tender.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Add 1 cup of chopped lettuce and 2 tsp grated coconut in. Stir and mix all the ingredients.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Add ¼ tsp turmeric powder and a pinch of salt.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Saute the ingredients for 2-3 minutes on a medium till they are properly cooked.

step 6

  • STEP 1.Turn off the flame and serve hot.
