Directions: Lemon Grass And Beef Rice Paper Rolls Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with minced lemongrass, garlic, soy sauce, and sugar. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat a grill pan or barbecue grill over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • STEP 3.Soak the rice paper sheets in warm water for a few seconds until pliable. Place a sheet on a clean surface and add a small amount of vermicelli noodles, grilled beef, fresh herbs, and julienned vegetables in the center.
  • STEP 4.Fold the sides of the rice paper over the filling, then roll it tightly from bottom to top, similar to a burrito. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  • STEP 5.Serve the rice paper rolls with a dipping sauce made from a combination of fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, garlic, and chili. Enjoy!

Cooking Tips

  • Make sure to thinly slice the beef against the grain for a tender texture.
  • If you don't have lemongrass, you can substitute it with lemongrass paste or lemongrass powder.
  • To prevent the rice paper from sticking to the surface, use a damp kitchen towel or plastic wrap to roll the rice paper rolls.

Storage and Serving

  • These rice paper rolls are best served fresh, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  • To serve, you can cut the rolls in half diagonally and arrange them on a platter. Serve with the dipping sauce on the side.
