Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • STEP 2.Trim the leeks, removing the tough outer leaves and the root end. Cut the leeks into 2-inch (5 cm) pieces.
  • STEP 3.In a shallow dish, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs. Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
  • STEP 4.Dip each piece of leek into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere. Place the breaded leeks on a baking sheet.
