  • 1/5 inch Ginger, Grated
  • 0.40 Green Chilies, Finely Chopped

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak the split yellow lentils in water for 2-3 hours, then drain.
  • STEP 2.In a blender, grind the lentils along with leeks, ginger, green chilies, and spices to make a coarse paste.
  • STEP 3.Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add chopped coriander leaves, salt, and rice flour. Mix well.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil in a deep pan for frying. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small vadas.
  • STEP 5.Carefully drop the vadas into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Remove the vadas from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 7.Serve the leek dal vadas hot with chutney or yogurt dip.
