Lauki Ki Kheer Recipe

 An easy,quick dessert prepared with Lauki and milk. The recipe is very simple and even a beginner in cooking can make this kheer. Just make sure to use fresh milk. You can use pre boiled milk or pasteurized milk. Another point to be noted is that the Lauki should be tender and should not taste bitter.

Ingredients for Lauki Ki Kheer Recipe

  • 500 milliliter Milk
  • 1/2 kilogram Bottle gourd
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • As required Mix dry fruits

Directions: Lauki Ki Kheer Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Peel bottle gourd and grate it with the help of a grater.

  • STEP 2.1.heat ghee in a pan or kadai

step 3

  • STEP 3.2.add grated lauki/bottle gourd and saute it for 2-3 mins.

step 4

  • STEP 4.3.then cover the pan for 2-3 mins to cook lauki a little.

step 5

  • STEP 5.4.now add milk and stir it until the quantity is reduced to half.

step 6

  • STEP 6.5.add sugar and then stir it for 3-4 mins.

step 7

  • STEP 7.6.then add cardamom powder and mix it well.

step 8

  • STEP 8.7.now add dry fruits.
