Ingredients for Lauki Chana Kabab Recipe

  • 1 No.s bottle gourd/ lauki
  • 1 cup soaked chana dal
  • 1 No.s bay leaf
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 1 No.s black cardamom
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 4 No.s Peppercorns
  • 1 No.s dry red chilly
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped ginger
  • 1 No.s green chilli
  • 1/2 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 4 cup Water
  • As required Salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander
  • 1 tablespoon chopped mint
  • 1/2 tablespoon chat masala
  • 1/4 tablespoon garam masala
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 4 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • As required Ghee

How to Make Lauki Chana Kabab Recipe

STEP 01

1 roughly chop a bottle gourd and discard the centre portion containing seeds.

STEP 02

2 soak some chana dal into water for 1-2 hours

STEP 03

1 heat a pan and add chopped bottle gourd, chana dal, bay leaf, cinnamon, black cardamom, cumin seeds, peppercorns, dry red chilli, turmeric, ginger, garlic, chilli and water.

STEP 04

2 cover and cook this on medium flame till dal cooks properly.

STEP 05

3 turn off the flame and let this mixture cool for a while.

STEP 06

4 blend this mixture in a blender and add salt, coriander, mint, chat masala, garam masala, coriander powder, bread crumbs and mix well.

STEP 07

5 take this mixture and with damp hands give it a circular cutlet shape.

STEP 08

6 heat some ghee in a pan and cook your kababs in it from both the sides.

STEP 09

7 serve hot with chutney or sauce.
