  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Small Bottle Gourd, Peeled And Chopped
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1 cup Water

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Soak chana dal in water for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, and chopped onions.
  • STEP 3.Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
  • STEP 4.Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped lauki, soaked chana dal, salt, and water. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
  • STEP 6.Once the pressure is released, open the cooker and garnish with coriander leaves.
  • STEP 7.Serve hot with roti or rice.
