Ingredients for Lauki barfi Recipe

  • 1/4 Kg Lauki
  • 1/4 Cups Mawa
  • 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 1/4 Cups Sugar
  • 1.25 Pinches Elaichi
  • A Handful Dryfruits
  • 1/2 Tbsp Ghee

Directions: Lauki Barfi Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash peel and grate lauki and take a kadai add ghee and put all grated lauki in it.
  • STEP 2.Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan. Mix milk in lauki and keep it boiling in medium flame for 7-8 minutes or until lauki becomes tender.
  • STEP 3.After some time it becomes little thick then add remaining ingredients one by one. Like elsichi sugar.
  • STEP 4.When we add sugar consistency becomes little runny. Keep stirring it for another 5-6 minutes or until it becomes solid. Add ghee roasted dryfruits.
  • STEP 5.Grease the tray and transfer this mixture into it and tap it. Decorate it.
  • STEP 6.Once this becomes cool then refrigerate it for 2-3 hours. Then take out and cut into desired shape. Lauki Burfis are ready. You can store them in a container but because of milk and khoya its shelf life is only for 3-4 days.
  • STEP 7.Enjoy home made tasty sweet at home with family.
