Thai Laab Moo, often made with minced pork, is one of the most popular Thai street food dishes. Though on the streets of Thailand it's most of the time made with pork, you can also find it made with minced chicken or even minced duck. This delecious finger licking pork can make a cut to your dinner parties and the weeken brunch when served with the sides of steamed rice.

Ingredients for Laab Moo Recipe

  • 500 gram minced pork
  • As required Tae sticky rice
  • flakes Dried chili
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • As required Fish sauce
  • As required Lime juice
  • 2 Shallots
  • 2 Culantro
  • 2 Green Onions
  • As required Mint leaves

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a wok start by adding the tae sticky rice and keep roasting it evenly by tossing it. Once it is brown and the rice has puffed a little, turn off the flame.

  • STEP 2.Take a mortar and pestle and keep pounding the rice until you have a coarse powder. Take it out in a bowl and keep it aside.

  • STEP 1.Dice and slice the shallots into half rings, chop the culantro and green onion. Keep scooping and tossing them until they form crumbs and become gray.

  • STEP 3.Once our pork is ready take it out in a mixing bowl and start by adding one heaping spoon of pounded sticky rice, followed by 1tsp sugar, ½ tbsp fish sauce, 1tsp dry chili flakes, one lime juice, give the laab a good mix so that the dry ingredients stick well.

step 7

  • STEP 4.Then add the sliced shallots, chopped culantro, green onions give it a good mix, and then top it with some mint leaves and slightly stir it.
