Ingredients for Kyar Zan Chat/Burmese Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

  • 170 gram Dried vegetable mix pack
  • 3 cup Chicken leg or breast chopped
  • 1/2 Onion Thinly Sliced
  • 8-10 Garlic minced cloves
  • 2.50 tablespoon Minced ginger
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric
  • 1-2 tablespoon Chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoon Aji no moto salt

Directions: Kyar Zan Chat/burmese Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 soak the dry vegetables from the package in water for upto 30 minutes.

step 2

  • STEP 2.1 in a pan add ½ cup oil. Allow it to get hot. Add ½ a sliced onion and saute for 30 seconds.

step 3

  • STEP 3.2 add 2 ½tbsp of minced garlic cloves and 2 ½ bsp of minced ginger. Saute on medium heat and cook for about 3 minutes till onions are soft and the raw smell of ginger garlic goes away.

  • STEP 4.3 add 1 tbsp of turmeric (haldi) powder, 2tbsp red chili powder and 1tbsp salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

  • STEP 5.4 next add 3 cups chopped chicken pieces and mix to combine well. Allow the chicken to cook on low to medium flame till all the released by the chicken evaporates. Stir frequently.

  • STEP 6.5 put a saucepan of water on the heat and bring it to a boil.

step 7

  • STEP 7.6 remove the soaking vegetables and strain off the water. Add these vegetables to the boiling water in the saucepan along with the noodles.

  • STEP 8.7 to this add the cooked chicken and gravy from the pan.

step 9

  • STEP 9.8 add 2 tsp ajino moto and mix well. Cover and cook for 10 minutes.

step 10

  • STEP 10.9 kyar zan chat is ready. Serve with chopped coriander leaves and a wedge of lime.
